Examination

We have three terminal examinations and a final exam to decide gradation. Besides, we have weekly and monthly exam systems and some other text-based exams like unit tests. All the exams are formative while the final is the summative one. In order to get upgraded, students must attain minimum marks required for passing the exam. Continuous assessment system is our another specialty. The result of every exam is informed to the parents.

Curriculum

Suryodaya School has adopted the curriculum adopted by the Government of Nepal. In addition to that, we have introduced additional courses to widen the horizon of thinking and enable them to acquire a broader range of knowledge likewise. We develop our own curriculum when it seems necessary.

Study tour/ Field trip

Learning what is to be learnt is not possible without on-the-spot and directs observation and inspection. To attain this end, we arrange frequent field trips, study tours and excursions to academically significant places. The field trips not only equip them but also provide them the opportunity to mingle with the life at the visited site.

Computer

Given the fact that development of any nation at this juncture of time, largely depends on the knowledge of technology, Suryodaya has realized this truth. Therefore, we have a state-of-art computer lab with access to Internet. Students can spend maximum hours surfing on the computer.

Language

The school facilities important foreign language classes like Japanese, German, and French. Generally the instructors are native speakers of the respective language.

Classes by visiting teachers

Though we have a strong team of regular and assistant teachers, we welcome visiting teachers widely known at home and abroad with a view of bridging the gap if any, and also expose our students to the highly academic personalities. The classes given by the visiting teachers, we hope, make them confident and encourage them to glorify themselves as those personalities.

Resource Centre

The school has a well managed resource centre comprising numerous books on varied disciplines. Interested students utilize their leisure at the resource centre or can borrow books of their interest on a rotation basis. Library cards are issued to individual students and books which suit their level are lent. This helps to inculcate in the student a reading habit right from school level and they can have the opportunity to use the centre as a reference.

Higher Education

The school extends higher study facilities at National Integrated College (NIC), Charkhal, Dillibazar. The college, managed by a team of renowned academicians of the country, is recently running +2 programs in Science and Management streams and BBS, BA, MA (English) programs efficiently.
